During the 8th to 10th centuries, this port was used for trade with the Bohai Kingdom (渤海国/ kingdom in Manchura and N. Korea, established after the fall of Goguryeo) on the Chinese continent, and during the feudal era, Kitamae ships used to call at the port to connect the Japan Sea route. ⠀ ⠀
ふくちゃんが眺めているのは、福浦港の夕陽です。
ここは、8〜10世紀には中国大陸の渤海国と交易し、また、藩政時代には日本海航路を結ぶ北前船も寄港したりと良港としてにぎわっていました。
