Fuku-chan has come to a village called Shimokuri-no-sato.
This village is located at an altitude of 800 to 1,000 meters on the east slope of Kamimura, Iida City, Nagano Prefecture, overlooking the Southern Alps.⠀
Look at the second picture looking down on the entire village. The arable land and houses scattered on the slope with a maximum slope of 38 degrees create a landscape representative of Toyama-go area.
In 2009, it was selected as one of the “100 best villages in Japan”.⠀
The beauty of the landscape and the harmony between nature and daily life resemble the Tyrol region of Austria, which is why the area was named the “Tyrol of Japan.”⠀ ⠀
