Founded 850 years ago by Minamoto no Yoritomo, the first shogun of the Kamakura Shogunate, this shrine features a spectacular view.
This time, I was able to view Mt. Fuji for the first time this year from the shrine grounds under clear skies without a cloud in the sky.
The shrine has also been very animal-friendly since ancient times, and there is an ema (votive picture tablet) to pray for the health and longevity of pets, as well as prayers for the healing of pet illnesses.

鎌倉幕府初代将軍、源頼朝が創建した850年の歴史を持つこの神社の特徴は、なんと言ってもこの大絶景です。
今回、雲一つない晴天の中、境内から今年初の富士山を拝ませていただきました。
また、この神社は古来よりとても動物に優しく、ペットの健康長寿を祈願する絵馬もあり、また、ペットの病気平癒のご祈祷もしていただけます。
